Because of his real experience in motorcycle racing, he decided to start, in race cars, with the top class, the Nascar type cars, instead of starting from the small racing cars.

1992- 1995. Colombian national championship (“COPA MUSTANG-DORIA”). Raced with a Chevy Camaro ZX, 650 h.p.

1995 -2000. Colombian national championship (“COPA MUSTANG-DORIA“). Raced with a Ford Mustang GT, 6.5 litres, 880 h.p.

1996. 2nd place, Copa Colombia DORIA-MUSTANG (Colombian Nascar)

1997-1998. Champion, Copa Colombia DORIA-MUSTANG (Colombian Nascar)

1999-2000. 2nd place, Copa Colombia DORIA-MUSTANG (Colombian Nascar)

Mile Races (Dragsters)

1993-2000. Dario Echeverry became National Champion, broke the national record of quarter mile on August 8th, 1999 and still keeps the record.
